AboutIt is good that most men are bland-minded and lack curiousity so that they can continue to live their small lives in comfortable ignorance of the true terrors of the universe and the unmentionable. Pity the more sensitive mind that successfully gathers a few pieces of the awful truth as afterwards they are fit for nothing other than the madhouse or death. |

The Unspeakable CultIf you are ever in the often forgotten land of Australia and visit the city of Sydney, you can take a train from Central Station to the main station in the ancient town of Arkham. If you are observant you will notice along the way a set of disused rail tracks that head towards the seaside and shadowy Innsmouth. A once prosperous trading town, some unspeakable disaster struck the town turning them from sturdy and respectible seamen into shunned and a vaguely repellant people. In time the town was forgotten, and today its presence doesn't even appear on the new maps of the region and its presence on older maps has been systematically and thankfully removed. This disagreeable town of Innsmouth consists mostly of the heavy lipped followers of a strange and mysterous order of Dagon. It is a curious coincidence that at the same time that the town turned to this odd cult that they always seemed to have a plentiful supply of fish. But Dagon is not the only belief held in this deliberately forgotten town of Innswouth. Rarely seen about the town are the sleepy followers of an even more mysterious Cthulhu cult. Even the shunned followers of Dagon avoid the followers of Cthulhu. Exceedingly odd are the followers of Cthulhu. In mimicary of their not dead but sleeping god, the followers of this cult spend most of their time sleeping. It is good that the repellant followers of Cthulhu sleep so much as it is even whispered by the unpleasant citizens of the town that those who follow Cthulhu are very unpleasant to look upon. It is said that while sleeping that the followers of Cthulhu have vivid dreams that often surpass reality in all ways. It is even hinted in hushed whispers that there are unhealthy places around Innsmouth where these dreams touch with the waking world. It is in these cursed places where the mad software on this web site was created. |
